Abstract:
Specifity of plants species microelemental composition is not enough described and remains interest for practical medicine. The purpose of this work is analysis of elemental composition some plants (Polygonatum odoratum (Miller) Druce, Maianthemum bifolium L., Smilacina trifolia L. Desf.). All this species are belong to Convallariaceae kind and are common throughout Baikal region. These plants are used in traditional and Tibetan medicine. There are 22 types of mineral elements were defined in soil and plant samples. Results shows that studied plants are related to soils that contain significant amounts of Si, Al, Fe, K, Na, Mn, Ti, Ba, Zr, Sr, Rb. All studied species accumulate Ti, Ba, Zn, Mn, Sr in large quantities. So, Maianthemum bifolium differs with a high content of rubidium in overworld parts. Such elements as Mg, Cl, K much more accumulated in above-ground parts of plants, as for Al, Si, Fe, Ti, Cr, they are much more accumulated in underground parts. The absorbtion of elements by plants is different for macro- / microelements, and different collection sites. F, S and K are absorbed most intensively, and such elements as sodium, aluminium and silicon are absorbed less intensively. As result of work, for the first time was analyzed the elemental composition of the three species of the Convallariaceae kind, growing in the Trans-Baikal region. We have identified features of the accumulation and absorption of macro- and microelements by studied species of plants. Smilacina trifolia absorbs Mn, Ti, Sr and Zn, Maianthemum bifolium accumulates Mn, Ba and Rb and Polygonatum odoratum accumulates Ti, Cr and Ni in it-s underground parts. Elemental composition of plants also is different according the collection sites.
