Abstract:
Varicosity leads the list of diseases. Patients with varicosity usually worried the feeling of heaviness and fatigue in the legs, burning and sometimes night cramps in the calf muscles. One of the most common symptoms that appear at the beginning of the disease, are transient swelling and pain along the veins (often not extended). The disease develops slowly - for years and sometimes decades. Later on, swelling, appeared in the morning and disappear in the evening, join to these subjiective symptoms. There are many venotonic drugs in the russian market , both in the form of soft medicinal forms (ointments, creams, gels), and in the form of tablets and capsules, the use of which in various combinations allows alleviate the condition of varicosity. Most of them are of vegetable origin. Their use is particularly effective in chronic disease, because herbal medicine can be used a long periods without fear of side effects. The necessary concentration of the drug directly into the lesion, prolongation of action of therapeutic effect and minimal traumatic effect on the skin, when using ointments, gels, creams and liniments for external application,. The use of ointments, creams and gels can reduce the likelihood of side effects, which occur frequently in oral and injectable use. The development of a combined preparation venotonic action with dry herbal extract with venotonic action in the form of the gel is one of the promising area. Dry extracts of the arnica foliosa and dry extract of aesculus hippocastanum received in the Department of Chemistry and Centre of Phytochemistry Pharmaceutical Technology All-Russian Research Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants are used as an object of study.
