Due to a number of advantages suppository, as medicinal form: the introduction way, accuracy of dispensing, bioavailability, their nomenclature constantly increases. Requirements to suppository bases can be divided conditionally on technological and biopharmaceutical. Bases suppository should provide their chemical and physical stability in the course of use, storages and to have ability easy to be formed and keep hardness at introduction. From the biopharmaceutical point of view the basis for suppository should be chemically indifferent and promote liberation of medicinal substances. Quality suppository should correspond to GF XI requirements.
