Abstract:
In type 2 diabetes complicated by diabetic neuropathy develops pronounced oxidative stress that is caused by excessive generation of reactive oxygen forms, a violation of the mechanisms of antioxidant system and uncontrolled activation of lipid peroxidation. Oxidative stress in type 2 diabetes is characterized by the blood products of lipid peroxidation and impaired tioldisulfidnogo exchange. Activation of lipid peroxidation and reduced antioxidant capacity of glutathione in red blood cells in type 2 diabetes can lead to stimulation of spontaneous lipolysis and to the emergence of insulin resistance.
