Abstract:
Experimental data have shown that conidia formation take place at the period preceeded the growth impairment at mycelia
(on 10-11th days), while conidia density being 27-106 pieces per ml. Clavicepspurpurea was prepared for vegetative reproduction up to this moment. Intensity of breathing culture reached its maximum value (82-84-10-4 mol/l/h) when large of conidia appeared at the ends of the hyphae. This moment was correspondent maximal absorption of carbohydrate from the substrate, the concentration of which diminished at about 20-fold and was 4.4 g/l of a nutrient medium. The coherence of these indicators is quite understandable owing to carbohydrates are the energy products, which is actively used in the breathing process. There was found that during the maximal production of conidia by mycelium the breath and consumption of sucrose were shlowed down.
