Abstract:
Herbal remedies, which are usually complex, or a combination of biologically active compounds, have a distinct therapeutic effect in the pathology of the liver and gastrointestinal tract. In this direction has developed a number of flavonoid-containing herbal remedies for the treatment of diseases of the digestive system: silimar, tanatsehol, bellatsehol, sibektan, flakozid. Silimar, tanatsehol and sibektan are used as a cholagogue and antispasmodic in chronic non-calculous cholecystitis, biliary dyskinesia. They can also be recommended for treatment of hepatitis and liver cirrhosis. Bellatsehol is recommended for treatment of chronic diseases of the digestive system (gastritis, gastroduodenitis, ulcer disease), combined with some diseases of the hepatobiliary system (chronic cholecystitis, biliary dyskinesia, etc.). Flakozid is allowed to medical use in adults and children as an antihepatotoxic agent in chronic diffuse liver diseases and biliary dyskinesia, and as an antiviral agent in primary and recurrent herpes simplex forms (extragenital and genital herpes), acute viral hepatitis type A and B, herpes zoster, measles, varicella. Rotokan is prescribed for erosive (ulcerous) lesions of the stomach and duodenum, gastroduodenitis, chronic enteritis and colitis, chronic cholecystitis and the postcholecystectomy syndrome. In dentistry it is used for treatment of inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa and periodontal diseases. Kalanhin is allowed to use in two dosage forms (granules and liniment) as anti-inflammatory drug and reparative processes stimulating drug in the treatment of gastritis, gastroduodenitis, enterocolitis, septic wounds, trophic ulcers, bedsores and other suppurative inflammation of the skin. Diquertin is used for the treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases (acute pneumonia, chronic obstructive bronchitis, bronchial asthma) and in the complex therapy of coronary heart disease and atrial arrhythmia. It is allowed to medical use as an antioxidant and remedy for protection of the capillaries. Prostanorm - aqueous-alcoholic extract and pills (active substances - flavonol and triterpene glycosides) ? the original complex drug for the treatment of chronic prostatitis.
