The study of technologies of growing medicinal plants of the laboratory of Agrotechnology and Agrochemistry of All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (VILAR) began in the 30-ies of the last century and is carried out at present. For 80 years 68 technologies for the cultivation of 60 medicinal crops, 34 of the rules and recommendations for post-harvest development, and the number of medicinal raw material were developed by the scientists of the VILAR. In recent years developed the technology for cultivation of the canadian goldenrod, of the tansy ordinary and the burdock big. New energy-saving and environmentally safe technologies are being studied for new crops medicinal plants.
