Abstract:
The research aimed to explore polymorphism of the endothelin-1 gene Lys198Asn locus as disease predictor and changes of endothelin-1(ET-1) blood plasma level at hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS). In examination 363 patients at the age of 22 - 65 were involved. Blood genomic DNA was isolated by phenol-chloroformic extraction, genetic locuses were researched by polymerase chain reaction. ET-1 blood level was determined with Biomedica Group (Austria) assay kit. There were no statistically significant differences in ET-1 gene Lys198Asn locus alleles and genotypes frequencies between HFRS patients groups and control. We revealed that ET-1 blood level is statistically significant decreased at all periods of HFRS with different severity and the lowest level at complicated form of disease was observed. We made a conclusion that low ET-1 blood level at HFRS is not genetically determined and represents an adequate metabolic response of an organism on endotheliotropic virus action.
