Abstract:
The investigation of phenolic compounds of the herb Lycopus europaeus was continued. The evapd n-butanolic layer of the H2O-EtOH extract was chromatographed on the SG column and repeatedly rechromatographed on the same sorbent, using CHCl3-MeOH and CHCl3-MeOH-H2O as the eluent. Luteolin-7-glucuronide methylester, luteolin-7-glucuronide ethylester, apigenin-7- glucuronide ethylester and meso-inositol were isolated. The identification of the compounds was carried out by the 1H NMR-, 13C-NMR-, UV-spectral and HPLC-MS-data. The main phenolic compound of the herb is rosmarinic asid (about 1.7% of the dried extract, HPLS-UV). The spectrophotometric method of the determination of the total phenolic compounds using complexation method of o-diphenols with AlCl3 was elaborated: 1.8-2.5% (luteolin as standart) and 3.7-5% (rosmarinic acid as standart).
