Abstract. Ensuring the sustainable functioning of special-purpose automated control systems (ASCS) under the influence of malicious software (malware) is objectively achieved through the use of additional resources of these systems. To create an appropriate operating environment for antivirus tools, it becomes necessary to solve the optimization problem of using these resources. In contrast to the classical approach, the solution to this problem, as a vector optimization problem, is carried out under conditions where the target function and the constraint function cannot be specified analytically, but only in the form of certain rules characterizing the behavior of these functions. In addition, the specificity of solving the problem is the need not only for optimal resource distribution between functional software components, but also for its optimal implementation. This involves developing a formulation and proof of relevant theoretical propositions. The solution to this problem is also the basis for solving another extremely important problem in the field of anti-virus protection – the problem of ensuring adaptive management of information security from the effects of malware in systems of the class under consideration.
Practical significance. The proposed approach makes it possible to solve the current practical problem of adaptive distribution and implementation of the temporary resource of the automated control system for the benefit of the operation of resident-type antivirus tools in the dynamics of the functioning of these systems.
