Abstract:

When analyzing the dynamics of complex systems, researchers often work with sequences of system states over time. Existing visualization approaches are limited in their ability to simultaneously display temporal and semantic structures. This article proposes an approach based on a modified cosmic metaphor, embodied in an intuitive three -dimensional cognitive image and implemented in a virtual reality environment. Unlike classical cosmological models, where the observer is external, the proposed modification places the user at the center of an expanding data universe, where time slices are represented as concentric spheres, with information o bjects located on their inner surfaces. Angular coordinates encode the semantic proximity of objects, forming clusters, while radial distance from the observer encodes temporality, allowing for simultaneous perception of all time slices, the semantic structure within each state, and the evolutionary relationships between objects.
