Abstract:

Today, when developing a user interface, the problem associated with its adaptability is relevant. It is necessary that the interface is displayed correctly at any size of the user device.

Goal – improve the efficiency of user interface development by using existing units of measurement in web design and principles of adaptive layout.

The existing units of measurement are considered. It is determined how and why they are used in web design. The types of units of measurement are studied: absolute and relative, their differences and areas of applicability are indicated. The principles of adaptive layout are highlighted, as well as the tasks for solving which the principles of adaptive layout and the units of measurement considered were used.

Units of measurement, principles of adaptive layout and their combination on examples of various tasks should facilitate the process of creating a user interface. This allows you to correctly break down and analyze tasks before writing the program code itself, where and when you need to use certain principles and units of measurement.
