Abstract:

This article discusses the problem of reading Braille by people who work with the blind. The solution to this problem is a developed hybrid Braille font that combines the Braille alphabet and the Cyrillic alphabet together, which can be read by both blind and sighted people. The hybrid font considered is an acceptable alternative for existing approaches to displaying Braille on different surfaces, as it improves the interaction of blind people with sighted people. The article proves the hypothesis about the immutability of the projection of a three-dimensional font on paper and its perception as a two-dimensional one. To do this, we performed a proof of the perception of hybrid font characters as two-dimensional objects from two viewing points: from the side of the reading angle and from the side of projections created by the reading angle. Proof of the perception of a font as a two-dimensional object indicates the validity of the existence of such hybrid fonts.
