Abstract:
The solution of any problem is to create an adequate model selection criteria and the search for the best solutions. Solving problems in most cases, it is assumed that the obtained model is adequate and there is only one possible way of solving this problem. In such circumstances the person making the decision (analyst) must find the only true and scientifically-informed decision, being necessary the clear statement of the problem and strict definition of the optimality criterion.
The analysis of the problems that arise today in various fields of human activity revealed a completely different class of tasks, which are called multi-criteria ones. Such tasks have a number of characteristics, among which we can highlight the uniqueness, the lack of statistical data that would adequately assess the consequences of making, any decision. The lack of such information leads to decisions under uncertainty, which further complicates the solution of the multi-criteria problem. In certain situations this can help the expert evaluation, given on the basis of some practical experience in this field. But there are a number of multicriteria problems, the peculiar feature of which is its complete uniqueness and the lack of any experience. An example of such a task might be a decision on the project implementation of corporate information systems at any enterprise.
