Three modifications of E-shaped patch antenna with improved characteristics are proposed. The open stub is inserted into construction of E-patch antenna which allows to achieve broad frequency band characteristics without necessity in increase of antenna size in H-plane. The second modification includes re-radiating dipoles placed over main patch. This approach leads to antenna frequency band around 30% and high stability of gain values in this band, which is equal 8,8 dBi. The third modification is in-phase microstrip antenna array with hybrid serial-parallel feed which exhibits gain over 14 dBi in frequency band 2,3-2,7 GHz. The results of both theoretical and experimental investigations are provided.
