An analysis of published data and research in technology-based nanocomposites simple polyolefins with various fillings. Obtained using nano composites have unique properties such as high catalytic and magnetic properties, the selective absorption capacity, tribological properties, thermal and chemical resistance, high strength and ductility. These characteristics lead to the formation of demand for nanocomposites in various industries: shipbuilding, aviation, chemistry, engineering, medicine, biology, ecology, etc. The largest number of publications devoted to the creation and properties of nanocomposites are systems based on polyolefins, worldwide production of which is more than half of all manufactured plastics. Polymer nanocomposites can be divided into the following groups: polymer-polymer, polymer-layered, filled with carbon nanotubes, dispersion-filled.
Nanocomposites, in which the matrix and filler are polymers called polymer-polymer and constitute a new and less studied class of polymer composites. Polymer-layered nanocomposites are almost always obtained by intercalation (introduction) of polymer chains (or molecules of the monomer is polymerized subsequently) in the interlayer spaces of the host crystal (crystal core) (layered hydroxides, metal phosphates, layered aluminosilicates, etc.)..
The paper discusses the features of the structure of nanocomposites and their mechanical properties. The perspective used in polymer composites, nano-dispersed fillers, considered the application of nanocomposites.
