Changes in the Level of Corticosterone in the Blood of Experimental Animals Exposed to Terahertz Waves at a Frequency of Atmospheric Oxygen 129.0 GHz on a Background of Acute and Prolonged Stress

Stress - it intertie adaptive response of the body, formed with the participation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and sympathoadrenal system - we in response to various stimuli (stress - moat). Until recently, mainly used methods of drug prevention of the changes caused by stress. However, the use of drugs, along with the desired effect, often accompanied by the development of severe adverse or allergic reactions. Promising new and accessible method for the treatment of various, including cardio - vascular disease is a terahertz therapy. Terahertz frequency range (100 GHz - 10 THz) is interesting because it is there, mostly concentrated frequency spectra of absorption and emission of major cellular metabolites (NO, O2, CO2, CO, OH-, etc.). The fundamental basis of the functioning of complex biological systems is molecule metabolites, stable and strictly reproducible molecular structures of biological media. Therefore, the deterministic control of their reactivity radiation that matches the spectra of their emission and absorption can be directed to regulate the metabolism in biological media. Analysis of the biomedical effects of electromagnetic radiation at frequencies of molecular spectra of atmospheric gases-metabolites shows a direct relationship spectrum of a given metabolite, and its properties in biological media. This is consistent with the concept of matter and field as a single system. On the other hand, in the terahertz frequency range is mainly focused frequency spectra of the emission and absorption of essential active cellular metabolites (NO, O2, CO2, CO, OH, etc.). The greatest interest at present is the use of terahertz waves frequency 129.0 GHz, corresponding to emission and absorption spectra of atmospheric oxygen. Because the lack of oxygen in tissues and organs leads to a violation of oxidation processes, changing the normal functioning and vitality of the whole body, causing hypoxia and ischemia, so it is important to study electromagnetic radiation at a frequency of molecular oxygen. The purpose of the study - to assess changes in levels of adrenal hormones corticosterone in the blood of experimental animals exposed to terahertz waves at a frequency of 129.0 GHz, the atmospheric oxygen in conditions of acute and prolonged stress. To implement the objectives of the study was conducted to study the blood serum of non-linear 90 male rats weighing 180-220 grams. Irradiation of animals on a background of acute and prolonged stress for 5, 15 and 30 minutes was carried out by electromagnetic waves at terahertz frequency spectrum of molecular emission and absorption of atmospheric oxygen 129.0 GHz with an innovative device «EHF-orbit». Found that the concentration of corticosterone in the blood of intact animals was 62.0 nmol / liter. The rats are in a state of acute and long-term immobilization stress, increased functional activity of the adrenal cortex. This was accompanied by statistically significant compared with the control group the concentration of corticosterone in serum. Thus, under acute stress, it increased to 175.2 nmol / liter, under conditions of prolonged stress - up to 200.3 nmol / liter. It should be noted that long-term immobilization of white male rats leads to "stress syndrome" which manifests itself not only as a sharp change in hormonal status, but also in animal behavior. Thus, animals subjected to prolonged immobilization, ranging from 3 to 4 days of the experiment, becoming anxious, aggressive, got up in a pose of "boxer", responded to weak stimuli, re-fused to eat. It is shown that a single continuous 15-minute exposure to electromagnetic radiation at terahertz frequency 129.0 GHz atmospheric oxygen on the background of an acute immobilization stress completely normalize the concentration of corticosterone in experimental animals. Normal levels of corticosterone prevent the development of stress reaction by reducing the release of glucocorticoids by the adrenal cortex. This fact provides evidence of stress-limiting function of the electromagnetic radiation of the investigated range. The most effective mode of exposure to conditions of prolonged stress is a daily for 5 days to 30 minutes exposure to electromagnetic radiation at terahertz frequency atmospheric oxygen 129.0 GHz.
