directed electromagnetic waves
a single-wire line
concentration of a field
Single-conductor line guides electromagnetic waves have been studied by numerous investigators over the past 20 centuries. However, for unknown reasons, by precursors was made an error in the degree of concentration of Guided Waves. In decameter range zone diameter, containing the energy field, estimated at tens of meters [1,2,3]. Such assessments were not allowed to hope for low loss and high stability of single-conductor lines.
Experimental study of the zone showed that its diameter is two orders of magnitude smaller than previously thought. The results obtained allow to use single-wire line, where they seemed hopeless.
