This paper presents results of the designing and of experimental research on a printed lens multilayered antennas prototype with a pencil-type patterns. This class of antennas was calculated for various kinds of modern radio telecommunication system applications. Methods and results of designing linear and bilinear polarization antennas are discussed. Based on electrical properties choice of interlaminar filling materials lends both mechanical strength to antenna and protective layer which preserve printed elements from exposure.
Printed lens multilayered antenna structures of various electrical size described in this paper experimentally prove the possibility of making cheap plane printed lens antennas with pencil-type patterns permitting the usage of them in telecommunication systems. In a number of cases they compete with classical reflector-type antennas.
