The numerical methods for solution of problem of electromagnetic wave scattering by PEC plate of finite thickness are suggested. Proposed methods are based on solving surface integral equations for electric and magnetic fields.
Approximation of screens of finite thickness by infinitely thin ones are discussed together with the purpose of using integral equations in the wide range of frequencies. The results of calculation of radar cross section (RCS) for plates of various thicknesses are compared with the exact results for infinitely thin circular plate. The backscattered radiation patterns of a thin plate in Е- and Н-planes are presented.
