MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF ALLOGENIC BONE TISSUE OF THE CALVARIUM AFTER DEMINERALIZATION, LYOPHILIZATION AND RADIATION STERILIZATION

In an experimental research the donor calvarium were used. Demineralization with a solution of 2.4 Н hydrochloric acid during different time (12, 24 and 48 hours), lyophilization during 48 hours and sterilization with a stream of fast electrons with doze of absorption 20-25 kGr have been used. After each stage of technological processing defined specific durability of samples of various areas of the calvarium, estimated dependence of their deformation on force of compression, using universal set «Zwick 1464». Results of research testified to sharp decrease of strength properties of a material after demineralization, especially after 48 hours - more than in 10 times. After lyophilization and the subsequent regidratation samples of a bone tissue became more elastic, the force necessary for piercing cortical layer of demineralized bone decreased slightly, on the average 15%. A stream of fast electrons radiating influence with doze of absorption 20-25 kGr practically not changed strength parameters of demineralized calvarium bone tissue samples. Dependence of deformation on force of compression was identical in all departments of bones of the calvaria. The given research does prove use of any calvaria demineralized bone with the purpose of carrying out of reconstructive surgical intervention in practically any sites of bone system of the person.
