In the modern paradigm of economic development, when the competitive struggle is becoming increasingly acute, in order to form an innovative development path, enterprises need to switch to digital production and improve existing production systems based on digital technologies.
In a generalized sense, digital production is a type of production organization based on the integrated application of highly integrated computer technologies of end-to-end automation of processes, digital twins, digital modeling and information processing at all stages of planning, developing, manufacturing, quality assurance, operation and up to utilization, tons . e. in all stages of the product life cycle. The advantages that digital production technologies provide are the ability to optimize all production processes, increase labor productivity, reduce the whole range of costs by automating such functions as monitoring and control, time to market for new products, as well as endowing machines and systems with extensive autonomous capabilities.
Thus, the main purpose of carrying out activities for the introduction of digital production technologies is to increase the efficiency of enterprises and product quality, reduce the time to create and launch new products, optimize the use of existing resources of enterprises, mobilize production capacities, ensure the competitiveness of products in world markets, synchronization of work of all departments of enterprises associated with integrated planning and the adaptation of the entire business process chain. It should be noted that digital production technologies affect not only the production processes, but also the earlier stages - product development and technological preparation of production, allowing to ensure the continuity of the flow of heterogeneous information and its maximum use.
Currently, many enterprises have begun to actively carry out activities to improve the model of the production system, aimed at introducing digital production. The work on assessing the level of digitalization of an enterprise and determining the priority directions for introducing elements of digital production is carried out in V stages:
Stage I - preparatory stage;
Stage II - the stage of the enterprise survey;
Stage III - the stage of assessing the level of enterprise digitalization
Stage IV - the stage of determining the priorities of the digitization of the enterprise;
Stage V - the stage of preparing the final report.
Thus, the described system for assessing the level of digitization of an enterprise allows to identify the main areas of work on self-assessment of the existing level in order to further develop measures for the introduction of digital production technologies, which is one of the strategic directions for the development of industrial enterprises in modern conditions.
