Multi-element PAA calibration using overlapping groups of channels

The problem of calibration results tailoring is described, for several groups of PAA channels with common channels in neighbor groups. It is shown, what in the case of direct averaging of phase differences between two results of calibration, phase error may be unacceptable due to phase round-ups. Two algorithms of phase tailoring are suggested to overcome this problem, and their accuracy is compared. Estimation is performed, to choose optimal number of channels in groups intersections.
It is convenient in some cases to calibrate multi-element PAA by dividing their channels by groups and calibrating channels inside groups. To ensure smooth phase distribution between groups, they can be made overlapped, and calibration results for the same channels in different groups can be used for phase tailoring.
During phase difference averaging between groups, specific error can arise due to phase round-ups to keep phases in 360-degrees range. Two methods are proposed to overcome this kind of error. Both of them are based on complex-number arithmetic.
