The potential characteristics of the target identification algorithm or the source of interference, whose signals are received along the side or main lobe of the beam, are estimated by the Neumann–Pearson criterion. The probability of correct target identification for different probability of false identification and signal-to-noise ratio is shown. To evaluate the efficiency of the algorithm, we obtained a four-dimensional distribution law for the quadrature components of the total and compensating channels, the distribution law for the amplitudes and phases of the total and compensating channels, and the two-dimensional law for the distribution of amplitudes.
The obtained relations allow us to evaluate the potential characteristics of the identification algorithm for the target or source of interference, the signals of which are received by the side or main petal of the DND, according to the Neumann–Pearson criterion.
