Development prospect of JSC «ISS» small satellites

The article considers a need of creation of domestic space systems based on the small satellites. The design advantages of the orbit groups composed of the small satellites and the possible directions of the small satellites use are presented. The advanced developments of the JSC «ISS» small satellites based on the unified space platforms of small class are reviewed. The small satellites design on the basis of advanced unified platforms, which are multipurpose and composed of invariable basic structure and proved equipment of on-board subsystems, results in reduction of the small satellite development time as well as of manufacturing and launching cost. The JSC «ISS» advanced platforms are characterized by high technical performances and new design and layout solutions. A series of advanced unpressurized platforms are intended for creation of up-to-date small satellites on their basis for different purposes, such as the small satellites providing different types of communication and the Earth remote sensing small satellites. The on-board subsystems of the platforms are designed based on the equipment and the devices manufactured in Russian Federation. The article presents the main technical performances of new unified space platforms and advanced small satellites on their basis. The general view and the layout diagrams of the small satellites are demonstrated, the analysis of single and tandem injection of the small satellites into operational orbit is performed taking into account the available launch vehicles.
