We described new method of describing production processes is proposed.
The structure of the enterprise as a set of its constituent units is considered. In each division of the i-th unit of products are assigned any features. The production process can be presented in different levels of detail. Depending on this, the set of features that characterize each unit will be different in composition and content in different sub-divisions.
It is proposed to present the characteristics of the i-th unit in the form of a matrix-line in each production unit.
Then for one unit i it is fashionable to make a matrix-a string obtained from the matrix-rows of all divisions.
Depending on the requirements, it is possible to make new matrix-lines with different set of characteristics-lines from the matrix-lines of each division, i.e. combining them in composition and content.
Thus, it is possible to build a model of the production system and describe it using a matrix-line, using a different degree of detail and, as a result, obtaining a different degree of accuracy of the model. In this case, the production process is represented by a vector in a multidimensional feature space. Signs can be quantitative or qualitative.
The matrix method of description is applicable for production of any seriality and allows to solve a wide range of problems.
