Development of automatic image processing algorithms of locator sensors

There are common problems while processing location images received from different sources, therefore, it is possible to develop and use general methods for their solutions. One of the key directions in image processing is to detect anomalies in the image and their automatic interpre-tation. This approach allows us to analyze location scene, to form an idea of its elements and their relative position in the image. General problems and issues overcoming by the processing of different types of locator image, such as radar, television are considered in the paper. Typical problems are diverse spatial ex-tent of detectable objects - from a few to tens and hundreds of resolution elements locator system, various contrast of detected objects in relation to the background image, the presence of section backgrounds borders on location scene, as well as the correct detection of objects on the border. As an example, the structure of the image processing algorithm formed by the sea-based optoelectronic sensor (TV camera) is considered. There are presented phased description of the algorithm and slides illustrating procedure of the television image processing. The paper describes realization principle of locator scene interpretation. It presents step by step algorithm for image processing in analysis of image’s structure. The results of the proposed algorithm obtained in modeling the algorithm for processing a test TV-scene in the MatLab environment are given and commented on.
