This article proposes the theoretical aspects and approaches to the combined use of formal and heuristic designing methods of intelligent control systems. The object of research is the combined methods of synthesis of automated intelligent systems controlling organizational and technical processes. The principles of joint use of regular, intelligent and heuristic methods are the base of combined approach in the synthesis of control systems managing a new class of organizational and technical processes and contains.
The practical orientation of the results of the work allows creating intelligent decision support systems in various fields of application, to create expert systems to optimize the functioning of complex technical objects in different conditions, to monitor the technical condition of objects under uncertainty.
