In the present work there has been investigated integral level of multielectron (from two electrons in a group) noise of image intensifier un­der the replacement of its output cathode-luminescent screen by a two-row ruler of semiconductor electron-sensitive elements. Such re­placement gives opportunity to obtain the most reliable measuring results with regard to counting characteristics. Comparing experiment results with theoretical data there is made a conclusion that multielectrone component of intensifier noise all over the whole field of vision is caused by the process of mixed surface ionization on anode surface, in the centre of field of vision, and bisides by the process of volume ionization of residuum gases.
