The divergent concatenated multithreshold decoding for convolutional codes

The goal of the article is the performance improvement of multithreshold decoders for self-orthogonal codes providing a near-optimal efficiency of the error correction under linear implementation complexity. It is discussed new divergence principle used within con-struction and decoding convolutional codes. Usage of this principle allows significantly approximating an area of the decoder effective operation to the channel capacity. Application of constricted self-orthogonal codes and parity-check codes in concatenated convolutional codes has been indicated, as well as simulation results for the obtained concatenated construction have been represented.
