The multi-criteria synthesis of 16-position radio signal by signal set design for adapt data communication radio system to narrow-band interference

The procedure for synthesis of 16-position radio signal to adapt data communication intelligence system to narrow-band interference effect is proposed. This procedure is based on multi-criteria optimization methods of signal set. The vector of criteria for the radio signal synthesis includes elements for increase immunity of additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and narrow-band interference, as well as power and bandwidth efficiency. A method for reducing the dimensionality of the multi-criterion synthesis problem for 16-position radio signals is considered. The sets of characteristics for realizable 16-position signals are analyzed using the variation by the weighting coefficients of the objective function. The dependences of noise immunity for the synthesized radio signals on the signal-to-interference ratio are presented and compared with the characteristics of the QAM-16 signal. It is shown that synthesized 16-position radio signals under the action of narrow-band interference and AWGN preserve noise immunity (at the level of the QAM-16 signal under the action of only AWGN) up to a signal-to-interference ratio of −9 dB.
