Methods of construction and parameters of the wideband vertical density-tapered linear antenna array with large mean electrodynamic distance between phase centers of antennas which are intended for radio direction finding of radio-frequency sources in the elevation plane in semiconducting Earth’s surface influence environment are considered. Results of calculation of side-lobe levels and radiation patterns in vertical plane which are realized from the wideband vertical density-tapered linear antenna arrays with the optimal Dolph–Chebyshev law of antennas distribution and with the geometric progression law antennas distribution are given. It is demonstrated that the geometric progression law antennas distribution, in comparison with optimal Dolph–Chebyshev low of antennas distribution, presents decreasing on size of (20…50)% on the side-lobe level of the phased antenna array.
