The generalized structure of the direction finder and the main terms used in the theory of radio direction finding

The direction finder general structure, including an angular attitude-determining device of the direction-finding antenna-feeder device is considered. The terms used in the radio direction finding theory, taking into account the device presence for angular attitude determining device of the direction-finding antenna-feeder device, are systematically defined. Terms and definitions admitted for presenting results of radio direction finding in various coordinate systems and allowed for different construction variants and angular attitude determination devices of the direction-finding antenna-feeder devices functioning of mobile ground, air and marine radio direction finders are given. The computational ratios for azimuth transformation (angle of altitude) into radio bearing (elevation angle) for air, sea and land direction finders are given. Formulas for the results representing of the radio direction finding in spherical and Cartesian coordinate systems are given. The computational ratios for the error definitions of radio direction finding during direction finders testing in normal terrestrial and geodetic coordinate systems are presented.
