Refraction effect of the soliton beam on the gradient of the nonlinearity of the medium

When a non-linear beam-soliton intersects a region of a medium with a non-zero gradient of nonlinearity (in the presence of a nonzero angle between the initial propagation of a soliton and this gradient), the refraction of a soliton beam is observed. The mechanism of appearance of this phenomenon of refraction is explained. The result of the described soliton refraction phenomenon on the gradient of the nonlinearity of the medium is the change in the direction of soliton propagation, so that the described angle decreases or, if a sufficiently strong nonlinearity gradient, becomes equal to 0º. In this case, the soliton began to propagate parallel to the nonlinearity gradient. The effect of refraction is more significant, the larger the nonlinearity gradient overcome by a nonlinear beam.
