Мethod of forming angular-coordinate estimates sources of signals and interference on the basis of the Kalman-Bucy filter

The article proposed a method of forming estimates of the angular coordinates of signal sources and interference to electronic systems with antenna arrays providing search modes, the detection of objects in a given angular sector and subsequent maintenance objective (s) in the case of using the composition of the radar station or the reception/transmission of signals in the radio communication system that can perform navigation tasks.
Approximation of the static model of the change in the angular coordinates of the signal and interference sources by solving a system of homogeneous differential equations, and then transforming it to equations in the state space, made it possible to apply the Kalman-Bucy filter to solve the problems of adaptive signal processing in nonstationary antenna arrays. The paper shows that the accuracy and speed of formation of estimates of the angular coordinates of the signal is determined by the accuracy of the initial conditions, as well as the level of noise in the paths of antenna elements.
The results of numerical simulation of estimates of the angle of the place and azimuth of the received signal, the variance of the es-timation error are presented, conclusions and directions of further research are formulated.
