The possibility of creating antennas with horizontal and circular polarizations for subscriber stations of the mobile telecommunication

The possibilities, difficulties and ways of creating solutions for antennas of horizontal and mixed polarization, effectively operating when installing a mobile object on the roof, are considered.
The prospects of using bipolarization antenna systems, allowing, in combination with dual reception with polarization diversity, to reduce the impact of depolarization effects on the routes of radio wave propagation, are noted.
Difficulties of realization of antennas of the horizontal polarization effectively working at installation on a roof of the mobile object, due to the fact, that the roof actually represents an electric wall, are shown.
The solutions on the basis of horizontal symmetric vibrators, including turnstile connections of two, three and four vibrators are con-sidered. Calculated characteristics of antennas are given. It is shown that the considered solutions are insufficiently effective from the point of view of radiation in the horizontal direction. The prospects of using a local coating of the roof made of metamaterial having the properties of the magnetic wall are shown.
