In the paper the dual-band antenna arrays of satellite television systems have been considered. The advantages and disadvantages of such antennas are noted in comparison with widely used mirror antennas. The design of a dual-band microstrip radiator has been developed. Parametric optimization of the radiator has been carried out in order to improve the frequency characteristics of the matching. Models for calculating individual elements and gratings from broadband microstrip radiators using modern software packages used to calculate antennas and microwave devices have been developed. The directivity characteristics and frequency characteristics of the emitters of the microstrip antenna array operating in the reception and transmission modes are determined. The possibility of joint independent operation of the transmitting and receiving channels of the antenna array due to polarization decoupling is shown. The directional characteristics of the microstrip antenna array operating in the receive and transmit mode are determined.
