Fabrication and investigation of Y2O3:Yb optical ceramics

Yb:Y2O3 ceramics samples were fabricated and investigated. Optical transmission of 0.6 mm thick samples was measured 0,79 at 600 nm wavelength. Residual porosity values are in the 5-15 ppm range.
