In connection with the growing demand of the consumers, the necessity of improving the quality and raising the quantity of provided sa-tellite communication services is increasing every year. The compliance of the satellite communication and broadcasting services with the specified requirements leads to the necessity of continuous upgrading the communication satellites. By these reasons the work re-vealing such problematics is actual.
The objective of the work is to analyze the current status of domestic geostationary satellites, the space program of geostationary satel-lites creation based on the example of the JSC «ISS» developments and their development prospects.
The promising directions of activity of the company are the following:
development and manufacturing of payloads for the satellites on the basis of components of domestic manufacturers;
development and implementation of modular-network architecture of the on-board control subsystem;
development and implementation of delta-injection subsystem based on electrojet thruster of SPT-140 type on the satellite for the trans-fer from the geotransfer orbit into the specified orbit.
During the performed work the problems of current situation of communication spacecrafts, the actual SCs developments for the GEO and the other orbit types, as well as the promising directions of the service SC design performed in JSC «ISS» have been considered. The satellites created in the company and providing communication, broadcast and Internet access compete in technical performances with the production of leading world manufacturers.
