Ways to optimize the antenna complexes of HF radio centers

In connection with the increased relevance of HF radio communication based on the development of digital technologies, as well as the emerging foreign policy and internal economic environment, there was an objective need to revise the existing scheme for the organization of HF radio centers.
The paper considers the ways of constructing and the problems of implementation of antenna complexes of HF radio centers from the point of view of optimizing the antenna areas while maintaining the qualitative parameters of HF radio communications. The selection of the optimal structural scheme for the construction of HF antenna complexes providing high performance characteristics is substantiated.
In particular, it was shown that an integrated approach based on the replacement of sets of existing antennas with ring antenna arrays having biorthogonal or tri-orthogonal broadband radiators is promising for the modernization of antenna fields.
It is shown that one of the most promising directions for the modernization of HF radio centers is the use of MIMO technology.
Also, one of the possible alternatives for reducing the number of antennas at the radio center (saving land areas) is the use of devices operating several transmitters on a common antenna. Another possible way to save land is to use underground antennas.
The problems of creation of transmitting broadband active phased antenna arrays with flexible control of spatial characteristics with a high level of radiated power are considered.
It is expected that the set of considered ways and approaches will improve the economic and quality indicators of communication services.
