The work is devoted to the issues of estimating the possibility of determining the coordinates of the radiation source by the nature of the change in the frequency of the signal received on the mobile carrier.
It is shown that when a radio receiver is placed on a mobile carrier, the nature of the change in the frequency of the received signal, including, is determined by the peculiarities of the change in the mutual location of the radiation source and the carrier, which is caused by the dependence of the Doppler frequency on the radial velocity changing in such conditions. Such peculiarities made it possible to realize an estimate of the coordinates of the radiation source based on the formation and subsequent solution with respect to the last system of nonlinear iterative equations describing the dynamics of the change in the relative distance between the source and the moving radio receiver.
In addition, when the carrier moves along a closed path, for example, along a circle, one can use the features of the functional de-pendence of the frequency of the received signal on the radial velocity relative to the source, in particular, when the linear and radial velocities coincide, which corresponds to the extremum points, comparing the latter with the spatial Position of the carrier, the coor-dinates of the radiation source are calculated.
