Simulation modeling results of frequency selective surfaces based on dielectric metamaterials

Abstract: Structure of frequency selective surface (FSS) based on metamaterial including spherical dielectric resonators arranged in cubic lattice is proposed. It has been shown that proposed FSS structure can be used for microwave electromagnetic shielding. Influence of resonators material electric parameters on FSS characteristics was estimated. Estimation of shielding efficiency of FSS proposed composition for 25 GHz frequency obtained depending on beaming direction by the use of numerical modeling. It has been shown that proposed FSS can be produced from manufactured materials.
