Influence of technological deviations of design parameters of magnetic ring on the magnet coefficient

The article presents the analysis of the influence of technological deviations of the design parameters of the magnetic periodic focusing system for a magnetic factor α, which defines the working area of the stability of the electron beam in traveling wave tube O type. The given graphs according to the magnitude of the magnetic coefficient α from changes in the parameters of the magnets of the magnetic focusing system. It is found that if the focusing system works on the border zone of the transmission, the technological deviations the geometric parameters of the ring magnets can lead to significant change of the magnetic coefficient α and, as a consequence, the defocusing of the electron beam.
