Methods of assessing the effectiveness of aerial electronic reconnaissance at sea in the conditions of application of measures to increase the stealth RLS operation

The article provides a brief overview of a number of domestic and foreign publications devoted to issues of secrecy functioning of radio electronic facilities for military purposes, such as RLS. The conclusion of the feasibility of a joint review of quantitative characteristics of stealth, as a measure, the opposite of intelligence it is available (in three stages: detection, positioning and recognition), with a measure of noise immunity. Named the major measures to enhance stealth RLS operation, from which it follows that in the context of these measures can be greatly reduced the effectiveness of many of these methods of jamming RLS. Results ratios to quantify the efficiency of signal detection RLS, applying measures to increase stealth, electronic intelligence stations (EIS) of different types. It is shown that the characteristics necessary to account for patterns of RLS antennas in the field of lateral and rear radiation and the time constraints, taking place in the search frequency receiver EIS.
A table of basic RLS characteristics of working at sea and built an approximate distribution of the energy parameter of the RLS. From the analysis it follows that for a sufficiently large number of the ship's RLS signal detection efficiency is not sufficient even in the absence of applications in RLS stealth mode increased. In the case of the introduction of such a regime, for example, detection of enemy aircraft engaged in surveillance, this efficiency is clearly reduced by, for example, reduce the power level. The power reduction range is defined tasks RLS and allowable decrease its effectiveness in certain sectors, etc. The effectiveness of ways of reducing the effect of the measures taken to increase stealth is to increase performance while maintaining a high sensitivity. In the context of measures for improving the use of secrecy should be preferred quick methods of determining coordinates, for example, synchronous direction finding of the two direction-finding items. In conclusion, the article discusses the methods of preventive EIS using energy advantage to the active electronic intelligence RLS detection of the sea it from the «shadows». It is also advisable to use EIS signal stations shipboard RLS reflected from several ships group that provides information superiority in the information conflicts with target designation means.
