The problem of rehabilitation of patients with postoperative defects of the dentoalveolar region requires an integrated approach. A variety of diagnostic methods and techniques for manufacturing prostheses allow, in each case, to choose the most correct approach to recovery, both function and aesthetic composition of the face. We have examined various methods for diagnosing defects in the maxillofacial region, comparing them by key criteria. The analysis of the amount of radiation radiation received by the patient in the diagnosis using various diagnostic tools is carried out. Both traditional methods of making dentures and modern milling and SLA printing technologies are considered. Based on the experience of using various methods, a comparison of diagnostic and prosthetics in different clinical situations was made.
