Automated heart rate analysis in real time using neural network technologies

An approach to constructing systems for automated heart rate analysis based on artificial neural networks on FPGA is proposed. A structural diagram of the device for the cardiorhythmograms conversion and processing and control of temporal parameters of the cardiac rhythm and neural network structures for the detection of tachy- and bradyarrhythmias, determination of the sinus rhythm, assessment of the presence of a sino-auricular blockade of the Mobits-1 and Mobits-2 type, estimation of histogram parameters of cardiointervals are designed. The advantages of the developed system is the inclusion of the neural network converter of the cardiorhythmogram time-frequency parameters into the code instead of the converter based on rigid logic, and also the usage of a neuronet processing and analysis unit for the cardiorhythmogram handing out. The system is implemented in the VHDL hardware description language for FPGAs. It was modeled in the Altera Quartus II environment.
