Development of expert systems of automated systems of special purpose and evaluation of efficiency of their functioning

The research of extraction and processing of expert information for automated control systems (ACS) for special purposes was carried out. The aim of the research is to obtain new scientific knowledge that will make it possible to increase the effectiveness of the functioning of expert systems for special purpose ACS.
The issues of increasing the effectiveness of the functioning of expert systems (ES) within the ACS of a special purpose, remain unre-solved, in particular, through the development and improvement of models and techniques for the acquisition of expert information (EI). The most time-consuming procedure in the development and maintenance of ES for special purpose ACS is the process of extracting and processing expert information, which is accompanied by significant losses.
As a result, such losses lead to a decrease in the quality of the conversion of the EI and, as a consequence, the efficiency of the func-tioning of the ES in the ACS of a special purpose as a whole. The article defines the main indicators and criteria for assessing the ef-fectiveness of expert systems of special purpose ACS. The stages of acquisition of expert information and methods for its evaluation throughout the whole cycle of acquiring expert information are proposed.
The practical importance of the work lies in the development of a system for acquiring expert information for further filling the know-ledge base of the special-purpose ACS expert system.
