Modeling of microstrip and slot radiators in multilayer structures based on the integral equation method

To create compact antennas for various telecommunication systems microstrip and slot radiating elements located in multilayer struc-tures including layers of metamaterials are used. In the article a method of adequate mathematical modeling of these radiating elements is proposed, which is based on the reduction of external electrodynamic problems to special integral equations of the first kind, which allows to develop efficient algorithms for their numerical studies. The method consists in the construction of integral representations of fields in multilayer structures using the formalism of the tensor Green functions, handling of electrodynamic problem and obtaining of the first kind integral equations for currents of the microstrip (slot) conductor radiating elements, followed by the numerical analysis. Some numerical results of microstrip radiators in multilayer structures and slot radiators with multilayer cover are given.
