Waveguide horn antennas are the simplest antennas centimeter wave band. They can form a wide radiation pattern from 100−140° to 10−20° in pyramidal horns. The possibility of further narrowing horn charts restricted by the necessity of sharp increase in its length. Alternatively, antenna improvements to reduce the width of the main lobe of the radiation pattern without increasing the length of the horn provides the use of an optical element (lens). The problem of combining ease of manufacture pyramidal TEM-horn and complement its simple circular dielectric lens. Distributions of the E field in the context of the horn, showing that this design is not optimal.
