Results of optimization of radiating aperture of a planar antenna leaky wave antenna array, comprising a single-layer dielectric wave-guide on a metal screen and one-dimensional periodic array of metallic strips are presented. The proposed design is characterized by low loss and provides a one-coordinate scan the radiation pattern (formation of multi-charts) at a fixed frequency.
